Born: 1909, Dayton, Tennessee
One of the few blues violinists whose albums are readily available. Straight-ahead blues player in what I tend to call a traditional "southern" style (as opposed to the more modern and urban blues found with many guitarists today). A somewhat stronger player than Papa John Creach, and near as I can tell his career doesn't include any of the side trips into less fruitful territory that Creach took.
