Autolycus pickup mounting

Made by Dave Wardley in New Zealand, the Autolycus has a fairly unique mounting schema. Unlike all other pickup systems I know of, this one mounts on the f-hole of the instrument rather than on the bridge. It's an interesting idea, and probably has some fairly unique tonal characteristics. As Wardley points out, this also avoids any change in tone due to partial muting of the bridge (as is common with clip-on or clamp-on systems).

He also makes a pedal pre-amp for the pickup that brings the signal level up to something usable by your typical mixing board or guitar amplifier without changing the tone color.

Pricing

Pickup - NZ$65
Preamp - NZ$145
Preamp and pedal - NZ$180
