 Evan is the newest member of the Turtle Island String Quartet. He's only 24 years old, but appears to have made quite a name for himself. He's won lots of competitions: U.S. Scottish Fiddling Champion, Kentucky State Fiddle Champion, twice Canadian Junior Fiddle Champion, and a five-time Canadian Novelty Fiddling Champion; and the list of people he's played with is just as impressive: Stephane Grappelli, Claude "Fiddler" Williams, Vassar Clements, Johnny Frigo, Johnny Gimble, Buddy Spicher, Alasdair Fraser, Mark O'Connor, Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Roberta Flack, and Patti Austin.
He's studied with Matt Glaser at Berklee (it was Glaser who hooked him up with TISQ), and is now teaching at Wellesley College.
